Dear Member:

Thank you for supporting the important environmental work that the Friends of the Spanish River and their partners, Federal, Provincial, Municipal and Industrial are doing to Restore, Preserve and Celebrate the Spanish River.

Some of the highlights of the year 2004 are as follows:

· The Lower Spanish River Private Buoyage/Public Dockage System still awaits 100% agreement from all 5 partners. We are still optimistic agreement will be reached.

· In May we stocked 300 yearling Musky in the Spanish River, compleating the target of 8900 fall fingerlings and 1660 spring yearlings.

· Again our pointer boat did not get in the water due to insurance costs, It was displayed several times at Chutes Park in Massey, was our float in the Espanola Canada Day parade, and also participated in the Massey Fall Fair parade.

· In September we participated in the Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-Up, with excellent results. The area from Espanola to Spanish was covered.
